Gratitude Practice 2015 Day 16: "Roll With Me"

You know that one time....that time when a song or a jingle or something catchy gets stuck in your head and you find yourself singing it over and over and over.... There are some days that I loath ear worms and other days that I love them. Today was the ladder.

For the last almost 24 hours I've been singing part of a song written, engineered and performed by my very talented nephew Parker Robinson. Parker is a senior at BYU studying Commercial Music and is a veritable musical genius. Parker is a faithful devote of James Brown, currently jams with handful of local bands, can play pretty much any instrument he picks up, works a sound board like nobody's business, and likes to keep things....reeeeaaasallllll cool. When he's not mixing, recording, or singing the lead.. he prefers to make sweet sweet music on a sexy smooth saxophone named...Butterscotch....

"Roll With Me" was his final project for a Songwriting class and he nailed it. Today, I'm grateful for my talented nephew and friend Parker. I'm lucky enough to have a collection of equally talented nieces and nephews who are not only smart and talented but they are kind and good people. Parker shared this song with me a few months ago and every now and again...when I'm really lucky...the chorus of this song blasts in my brain....and those are good days. Enjoy!
