Gratitude Practice 2023 Nov 7: Bento Boxes Are Life Goals Realized

Grateful to connect with a friend tonight and the time to catch up over a meal carefully divided into purposeful little portions. The Bento Box is both brilliant and a little absurd when you think about it. I guess it makes some sense to keep the flavors separate… but equal. A perfect solution for those who don't like their food to touch but could this food service innovation work as well at a Mexican or Italian restaurant? Seems like some of the best parts of eating food is the mixing and melding of flavors, right? And yet my long standing commitment to organizational solutions and strategic planning did get me pretty excited knowing that with Bento Box technology all things have a place, all foods know their role and can thus really pack a meaningful flavor punch. Made me giggle a bit thinking that the Bento Box must be what all of the hard plastic cafeteria lunchroom trays of my youth aspired to be when they grew up...and I'm always grateful for lofty life goals realized…in both people and food service items. Mostly grateful for time shared with a dear friend over a tasty meal artfully displayed in a fancy systematic rectangle.
