Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 309: Schitt$ Creek

Schitt$ Creek is absolutely one hundred percent not for everyone….and that is totally okay….the world is a big big place and we can always be friends. Tonight, and for the last 9 pandemic filled months, Schitt$ Creek has been nothing shy of a gift. I've giggled. I've laughed. And then laughed more. I've cried and I've blubbered and then I've cried more. This silly TV show is just so….needed and appreciated.

Grateful for the quirky characters, the accents, the creative pronunciation, for the witty snappy writing. Grateful for the costumes, the fashion, the impressive use if black and white, the endless collection of wigs and the eyebrows...oh my goodness the eyebrows. Grateful for the unabashed level of acceptance and inclusion... for all. Grateful for the crows, for Rose Apothecary, for Jazzagals and for the unforgettable lesson on folding in the cheese. Grateful for how the final season really brings it all together and teaches love within a family and within a community is really the most valuable thing we will ever share. It's honest and real and absurd and funny and wraps up with very powerful punch in the face with love. Grateful for the relationships lessons taught and learned within this silly town that eb and flow and change with time. Grateful for the comical yet heartwarming representation of family dynamics. Grateful for how they all allow and encourage each other to change. Grateful for...ew David! Again, not for all...and that is okay...but if you know...and love...you really know and I'm betting you really love as much as I do.
