Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 293: Private Pie Party With World's Best Grandma
Tonight, super grateful for flour, margarine, water, apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, sugar, brown sugar, butter, lemon juice and a whole lotta love. These are the ingredients to a classic homemade from scratch apple pie that is currently resting on my kitchen counter. YUM! Equally grateful, actually way more grateful, for the energy, excitement, confidence, kindness, patience, resilience, knowledge, good humor and support of Melinda S Rich. We could not ask for a better Grandma, pie baking teacher and forever cheerleader champion. We love her like American loves apple pie.
Grateful for a fun evening of pie baking, story telling, movie watching, popcorn eating, giggle making, and genuine love. This simple evening is what life is all about and I know our Sarah Kate will tuck this sweet memory away as proof positive that she is loved, cared for, prayed for, encouraged and supported by strong and loving women. Grateful to be loved by this good woman. And grateful to now be far more confident in my pie baking skills.
