Gratitude Practice Day #12: Candy and Caterpillars and NyQuil

Burke Rich and I frequently tell our Sarah Kate that she is our favorite and like clockwork our Sarah Kate responds the same way...every time...."Mama and Dad, candy, is my favorite." As we continue to mend our wilted parental hearts we decided to use the knowledge for our benefit all weekend and have hosted a very exciting "Potty Party". Are you ever really ready for this adventure? Both Burke and SK have colds and we were housebound anyway so we took the plunge...and never have I ever been more grateful for the fruity chewy bait that is a starburst....paired with a drawer full of themed underwear, the endless magic of the transforming very hungry Caterpillars and a bottle or two of NyQuil... I think we will make it. Today, I'm grateful to be earning a few new parenting stripes.
