Gratitude Practice 2015 Day #19: Bryce Canyon and Marble View

About a month ago, we packed the family car and headed south for a few days. I'm a firm believer that one should commune with the desert on at least a bi-annual basis if not more often. We drove and drove and drove and saw the restorative red rocks that always do my heart good....but this time we saw them all through a thin vail of fog and clouds. It was cold and wet and absolutely beautiful. Everywhere we went we were encompassed by a thick cold moody mist and the contrast made the vibrant reds and oranges and golds more brilliant. I'm grateful to live in a place where a few hours in the car and a pack of red vines can result in the most terrific escape.
