About six months ago, I discovered the compelling artwork of Jonas Peterson thanks to the power of a social media algorithm and something big crystalized inside of me. Grateful for the creative interpretation of the aging process and the beauty of the female spirit. Grateful for this vibrant color pallet and for both the extreme and simple forms. Grateful for the fun and fancy way each figure interacts with the viewer and the powerful information communicated with each face and expression. Grateful for the smirks, the looks, for the unbridled confidence, for the unabashed presence of these women. Grateful for this visual interpretation of old lady life goals. Particularly grateful for THIS woman and for the resolute contentment she represents. Grateful for the pink and orange feathers, for her beautiful beads and bobbles, for her statement making shades and her perfect pink lipstick. And just look at her beautiful white hair.
