Gratitude Practice 2023 Nov 10: Date Night

Always grateful for this guy and the good times and the good life we are creating. Grateful for Thai food and live music and grown up conversation followed by a movie on our couch…we are simple, possibly boring, middle aged people and we are totally good with it. Grateful for his big laugh and his big heart and that he still loves me when I fall asleep halfway through the movie...every single time we watch a movie. Grateful for his big brain and work ethic and his determination to protect and defend and provide for our little family. Grateful for his stready-ness and resolve, for his knowledge of spices and his love of cooking and the endless gap filling. Grateful for his endless curiosity, for his generosity and for his genuine kindness. Grateful that he gets me and sees me and knows all of the things and still loves me even when it gets tricky and complicated. Grateful that we are us…highs, lows and everything in-between. Grateful he chooses us and that we are committed to figuring it out…all that we get to encounter… together hand in hand one exciting day after another.
