Gratitude Practice 2022 Nov 2: Reynolds Aluminum Foil
Grateful for its ability to care, protect and conceal both beloved casseroles and buttery baked goods. Grateful for both its form and function….I mean shiny chrome is always in season and is clearly considered a safe neutral in any setting. Grateful for its bend-abilty, its re-use-abilty and its multiple household uses. Mostly grateful these days for its use as a creative outlet. Aluminum Foil is currently the preferred medium for our resident seven year-old artist. Nare a day goes by that I don't discover a new sculpture or creation artful places somewhere in our house. Lest you think a crumpled pile of tin foil to be rubbish…you my friend would be dead wrong. CLEARLY upon closer inspection you would find a tiny home for rolly polly bugs, fashionable hair accessories, an impressive collection of animals and mythical creatures and a heart shaped boat for all of her tiny plastic friends. Grateful for tiny hands and brilliant minds and a wild and unbridled imagination. Can't wait until she discovers the power and possibility of Saran Wrap.
